Adventure – Hiking
Hiking is what brings many visitors to Provence. The area’s unspoilt beautiful countryside, criss crossed by trails is just waiting to be discovered. The mild weather makes hiking enjoyable throughout the year. In high summer, at certain points some trails are closed due to the risk of forest fires. Maison Lambot is a prime location to use as a hiking base with numerous beautiful walks starting on the hill right behind the property.
Foret Communale de Montfort-Sur-Argens
Wander out of our village into the hill above the castle to enjoy the beautiful pine forest and views of the Gros Besillon Hill and Argens River Valley.

Promenade du Rocher, Cotignac
This histroric walk takes you up onto the unique 80m high cliff face of Cotignac into medieval fortifications and ruins. The view of Cotignac village is stunning and the experience is one of a kind. Entry costs €2, free for under-10s.

The weir path at Correns Village
This short (6.5km) walk starts in the neighbouring village of Correns (3.5km from Maison Lambot) amnd follows the river to the weir (ecluse) before looping back to the village through woods and farmland.

Great Walks (Grande Randonées)
Several of the famous Grande Randonnée (great walks) walking routes are accessible from Maison Lambot.
Our closest great walk is the GR 99, two sections of it (from Le Revest-les-Eaux to St Martin-de-Pallieres and from St Martin-de-Pallieres to the Verdon Gorge) can be reached in half an hour.
A delightful section of GR 51 route (Marseille to Menton) starts 40 minutes drive from Maison Lambot at Belgentier. This 90-kilometre hiking route is called the “’balcony of the Var”.
The Blanc-Martel walk, a particularly interesting section of the GR4 Route through the Verdon Gorge is an hour away.
Adventure – SWIMMING
Apart from the 20m pool, the countryside around Maison Lambot B&B is full of beautiful spots for swimming, picnics and walks, with waterfalls such as Sillans-La-Cascade, and small gorges including the Vallon Sourn at Correns and the Caramy Gorge at Tourves meaning that visitors are truly spolied for choice when planning excursions in the local area.
Our Pool
The swimming pool at Maison Lambot is 20m long, ideal for swimming lengths, but also for relaxing poolside. The large shaded seating area with tables and loungers is a firm favourite among our guests. The pool catches the sunshine all day long which keeps the water at a pleasant temperature.
Le Vallon Sourn Canyon
This dramatic canyon is found between the villages of Correns and Chateauvert just 6 Km from Maison Lambot B&B. It is a narrow unspoilt river canyon, full of superb picnic and bathing spots. The regenating woods on the banks are protected. Sillans-la-Cascade Waterfall
At the village of Sillans-la-Cascade, this amazing waterfall is 44m high and has the most perfect turquoise plunge pool. It is located 20 minutes from Maison Lambot B&B. Ste Croix Lake and Verdon Gorge
The deepest gorge in Europe flows into a large artificial lake, the Lac de Ste Croix. The town of Bauduen offers access to the lake and has cafes, retaurants and pedalo rentals. You can rent a pedalo or boat and explore the incredible canyon, hike along the top or down into the gorge, and explore beautiful hiltop villages. http://www.la-provence-verte.net/decouvrir/top10-gorges-verdon.php.
La Cascade du Gouffre Waterfall, Cotignac
This beautiful small waterfall is hidden fifteen minutes walk outside Cotignac village. It is a great picnic spot and very photogenic. The path is shady and the water is very refreshing. http://www.la-provence-verte.net/activites/baignade-cotignac-cascade-du-gouffre_1150.html.

The Cote D’Azur
The Cote D’azur coast, which stretches from Toulon to Monaco, with its many beaches and attractions, is easily accessible for day trips. Adventure – Climbing
Climbers will find Maison Lambot B&B to be an excellent base for an active holiday as our area is full of climbing spots for all ability levels. Le Vallon Sourn, Correns

Falaise de Brauch Cliff
By the village of Carces, 8 Km from Maison Lambot is the Brauch cliff. It offers 32 routes graded from 3c to 7a+. It is easily accessible and the views from the routes over the lake are wonderful.
